FR will perform one set of original music starting at 4pm on 7/13/19. Please see below for more festival info:
There will be two stages with 40 bands playing (20 bands per day), as well as food trucks, a band merchandise tent, and an art tent.
This year DZ Fest will be partnering up with Chicago Public Schools and the Department of Arts Education (CPS Arts) in donating proceeds from the festival to the Children First Fund. The Children First Fund is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help fund various programs that are integral to a student’s educational journey. We will specifically be focusing on donating towards their arts and music programs, which are often underfunded in the city of Chicago.
DZ Fest is all about supporting the tradition of art and music and encouraging a sense of community. With everyone’s donations this year, we will all be able to lend a hand in bringing this same sense of community and opportunity in the music and arts to those who need it most.

Founded by Ben Arguelles, a local Hickory Hills resident, DZ Fest is a yearly music festival that occurs every July in Ben’s backyard. This will be the eighth year of DZ Fest and the vision for this year is to not only grow as a music festival, but also to reach out and help the community and world in which we all live in. Every year, DZ Fest has been funded solely by Ben, with the help of his friends. There are no sponsors or investors. The goal for DZ Fest is to reach out to all genres of music and artists to have a collective place where we can all come to express ourselves in a fun and safe manner.
